PETERSBURG-AK A love for the outdoors and artistic expression come together in Petersburg friday evening in a show of works by five local painters. They are all part of the local Plein-air group.
Plein-air is a French expression that means “open air”. It’s generally used to describe the tradition of painting outside, on location, rather than painting from a photo or other image that was made earlier.The new show includes paintings from Sandy Wolf, Doug Long, Berthiel Evans, Don Cornelius and Carol Beckett. Matt lichtenstein stopped by Wild Celery to get a preview of the show from Cornelius and Beckett.
