PETERSBURG-AK The Petersburg School Board is planning to vote next month on a new series of penalties for student athletes caught using drug alcohol or tobacco. The new rules are not as strict as the schools existing policy. They also incorporate a series of educational and community service components to help students redeem themselves.
As school board members continued discussions on the rules during this month’s meeting, they heard a heartfelt perspective from a former student with some experience in the matter.
