PETERSBURG-AK With two Petersburg City Councilors excused from last night’s meeting, the Mayor and four remaining members split a couple votes and fell short of passing several measures Monday. One vote would have allowed for a phased approach to fixing the cabin creek water pipeline. The city’s engineer recommended having a contractor start work on replacing and upgrading the damaged pipe, without waiting on other work at the dam itself. The issue could be back up before the Council at a future meeting.
