PETERSBURG, AK A quick moving fire destroyed a home on the Kupreanof Island shoreline Tuesday, despite efforts by local volunteers. The blaze broke out shortly before 11 a.m. at a home on the Kupreanof, about two miles south of Petersburg. The volunteer fire department from Petersburg responded with the harbor security skiff and some pumps.
