PETERSBURG-AK Petersburg will continue its search for a City Manager. The City Council was split this week on an unscheduled proposal to hire the interim manager for the permanent post, but he’ll remain in the running.
Also Tuesday, the councilors agreed to seek letters of interest from people interested in filling the Council seat left vacant by this falls recall vote. And in other city news, the Mayor and new Council took the oath of office this week, made a variety of appointments, and heard more about plans for developing a marine services facility in Scow Bay. Matt Lichtenstein has a review of more news from Tuesday’s Council meeting.
