PETERSBURG, AK A Petersburg police officer has added to his collection of medals from the World Eskimo-Indian Olympics. Twenty-five year old Jared Popp brought home a silver medal in the blanket toss held during the annual event in Fairbanks last month. Popp, originally from Fairbanks, has been attending the annual event for most of his life. Joe Viechnicki spoke with Popp about this year’s competition.
