PETERSBURG, AK Petersburg officials hope to convince just three more area residents to sign the city’s petition for creation of a new Petersburg borough. They’re also hoping to stay above the contentious debate about the “pros” and “cons” of forming a new borough government. The city’s borough committee this month committed to seeking the remaining signatures on the proposed borough charter and petition without any changes.
