PETERSBURG-AK Port Protection’s Wooden Wheel Cove Trading Post is still in business, despite a major fire that tore through its generator shed and warehouse the weekend before last. Port Protection residents and nearby neighbors rallied to save the general store, fuel stop and fish buying station which has served as a central feature of the small, remote community for decades.
