PETERSBURG, AK A city proposal to offer a wireless internet signal in Petersburg’s harbors ran into some opposition this week from local representatives for two telecommunications companies. The harbor department is hoping to offer WiFi service to boat owners tied up in Petersburg’s three harbors as soon as this summer. However, Petersburg’s city council will wait to decide on the new service.
