Local artist Susan Christensen this month opens up a new show of work at Miele Gallery in Petersburg. The show features about 30 new fabric works from the past year, with the smallest measuring four by six inches, and the largest 20 by 33 inches. Christensen uses a combination of sewing, printing and painting techniques to come up with intricate works that showcase bright colors and symbolic images. Joe Viechnicki spoke with Christensen about her latest work.
