Republican state senator Bert Stedman of Sitka says he’s looking into concerns about staffing levels for several state agencies that serve Petersburg. Stedman represents Petersburg in the senate, and serves on the powerful finance committee, in charge of drafting the state’s capital and operating budgets each year. Stedman visited Petersburg last week and talked with KFSK’s Joe Viechnicki about state funding for the District Attorney’s office and the Office of Childrens Services.
