Petersburg High School is hosting the Southeast regional baseball tournament for the first time this week. Seven schools are playing in the double-elimination tournament. Sitka is the number one seed going into the series. The competition got underway Wednesday afternoon with a game between between two of the regions newest teams, the Petersburg Vikings and Juneau’s Thunder Mountain Falcons. Matt Lichtenstein was there for the first pitch and produced this audio postcard:
