Local health care providers are encouraging people to get a flu shot if they haven’t already and to practice good hygiene in the midst of wintertime cold and flu season.
The state’s public health nurse and the Petersburg Medical Center have already given out hundreds of flu shots to local residents and employees at the medical center but they say it’s not too late to get your shot.
Joe Viechnicki spoke with public health nurse Erin Michael and the medical center’s infection control director Liz Bacom. He started off asking Bacom about this year’s flu season and how busy it has been in Petersburg.
