Trauma and addiction often go hand in hand. The non-profit organization WAVE, which stands for Working Against Violence for Everyone, is forming a new support group in Petersburg to help people living with those interwoven challenges.
KFSK reporter Nora Saks spoke with WAVE staff Annette Wooton and Rikki McKay to find out what they have planned.
If you’re interested in joining the support group, contact WAVE staff at 907-772-WAVE. Meetings begin in early July, but they’re welcoming participants on a rolling basis.
