Four people are finalists for the top job at Petersburg Medical Center.
A hiring committee was scheduled to meet in executive session Thursday, March 15 to interview three candidates for chief executive officer and hoped to schedule an interview with the fourth for next week. The new CEO will replace Liz Woodyard who plans to retire at the end of June.
One of the finalists is from Petersburg. Jennifer Bryner is a registered nurse and the head of nursing at PMC.
Two other applicants are also from Alaska. Patrick Williams is the clinic manager at Sitka Community Hospital’s Mountainside Family Healthcare Clinic.
Philip Hofstetter of Nome is vice president at Norton Sound Health Corporation. He’s currently finishing up an annual 1000-mile bike or foot race, the Iditarod Trail Invitational, following the course of the famous sled dog race. He was not expected to be available for an interview until next week.
One finalist is from out of state. Jeff Jones has worked as a hospital administrator for a medical center in West Plains, Missouri.
