The salmon poster for this year’s Rainforest Festival was created by Grace Wolf.
Most of the events run Thursday through Sunday. On Monday, there was a Rainforest Run Half-Marathon. Wednesday from noon to 4:30, people can visit a mushroom expert at the U.S. Forest Service office downtown.
To learn more about the festival events KFSK’s Angela Denning spoke with two organizers: Sunny Rice with the Alaska Sea Grant program and Chris Weiss with the Public Library.
