Students at Petersburg High School wrapped up 2018 with their second annual day of service, doing volunteer work in the school and community. Projects ranged from quilting for veterans, volunteering at the radio station, decorating the school, free baby-sitting, ringing the bell for the Salvation Army and wrapping presents. Joe Viechnicki stopped by the high school Friday and caught up with a few students, teachers and adult volunteers.
That’s Carol Kandoll, one of numerous local adult volunteers helping out with last Friday’s day of service for Petersburg High School. Along with some of the students, we also heard from Carissa Cotta, one of the teachers who helped organize the day.
