The Petersburg School Board Tuesday night is scheduled to hear presentations from the local insurance company and the middle school robotics team. The board meets at 6 p.m. in the high school library for a regular meeting.
The meeting will start off with a presentation by the middle school robotics team and their coach, Cyndy Fry. The 6th grade team is set to compete this Saturday in a virtual tournament. The 7th and 8th grade team already competed in Juneau in December.
The school board will be hearing a presentation on property insurance by Susan Erickson with Petersburg-Wrangell Insurance. Erickson will provide an update regarding insurance trends and answer questions from the board.
The school board will be going over the way the school district evaluates staff. Superintendent Erica Kludt-Painter will be giving out information on the state’s required staff evaluation process.
The board will also discuss the Superintendent’s evaluation and goals process.
The school board will hear the monthly accounting report, which includes bills, payroll, electronic fund transfers and other financial details with the district.
Also at the meeting, there will be administrative reports from the superintendent, the principals, and the activities director.
