Some Petersburg residents experienced a partial power outage this afternoon. The brown-out affected a circuit that feeds Sandy Beach Road and North Nordic to around to the Trading Union store. The partial outage started around 1:40 p.m. and power was fully restored by 3:30 p.m.
Bob Ziemke is the Plant Operator for Petersburg Municipal Power and Light. He says they had an equipment failure with an insulator. They temporarily fixed it and have ordered replacement parts. He says they apologize for any inconvenience.
