Petersburg Medical Center announced a breakdown of the current COVID outbreak cases as of Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 24).

Out of 36 active cases so far, one has been a person who was fully vaccinated. The person had two shots of the vaccine followed by at least two weeks of time to build immunity. They had no symptoms.

32 positive cases have been people with symptoms. Of those, 29 were unvaccinated, three had been partially vaccinated (having just the first of two shots), three people had been hospitalized, and one had been medevaced out of town for further treatment.

Four positive cases were people who had no symptoms. Three were not vaccinated and one was the person who had been vaccinated, mentioned earlier.
