Arts, crafts and food are on sale at the community gym this Saturday for the 45th Oktoberfest Artshare. It’s put on each year by the Muskeg Maleriers, a local group dedicated to rosemaling, or traditional Norwegian decorative painting.
The Petersburg Arts Council started the event 45 years ago and turned it over to the Maleriers a couple years later. Masking is required at this year’s gathering and people can also get a flu shot while they’re shopping. Local non-profits will be seeking new members and giving out information as well.
Joe Viechnicki spoke with two of the organizers Sally Dywer and Jean Curry.
Oktoberfest Artshare is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the community gym.
