Petersburg High School’s varsity volleyball team won two and lost four at the first seeding tournament of the new season last weekend in Metlakatla. It was the second week of competition for this year’s squad and it helps determine seeding for the regional tournament later this fall. The Vikings have already played about as many matches as they did during all of last year’s COVID shortened season. Joe Viechnicki spoke with head coach Jaime Cabral about this year’s team and the first matches of the 2021 campaign.
Petersburg will host the north seeding tournament the first weekend in November.
