Petersburg High School’s wrestling team had one regional champ and three runner-ups at the division two region five wrestling tournament in Wrangell Friday and Saturday.
103 pounder DD Toyomura took first place. Marcus Anderson was second at 130 pounds as was Aidan Cotta at 135 and Kyle Biggers at 215. Those wrestlers earned automatic bids to the state championships this weekend in Anchorage. In addition, three other wrestlers were awarded at-large berths at state after finishing in the top five.

PHS wrestlers who qualified for the state tournament will wrestle this Friday and Saturday in Anchorage.
