Petersburg Indian Association has hired Chad Wright as the new tribal administrator. He starts work in the new role the week of Feb. 7.
Most recently, Wright has been the executive assistant and compliance officer for the Petersburg Medical Center. Prior to that he worked at Petersburg Mental Health Services.
Getting him acquainted with the new PIA job will be outgoing tribal administrator, Tracy Welch. She’s been working long distance from Juneau as she took a job with the United Fishermen of Alaska.
Welch spoke with KFSK’s Angela Denning and says things have been going really well for the tribe even through the pandemic.
