Incumbent John Jensen filed as a write-in candidate for the Petersburg Planning Commission on August 10. There are currently two three-year terms open. Jensen has held a seat on the commission for two years.

Jensen is the first candidate to turn in paperwork for the commission. Incumbent Sally Dwyer has not filed for reelection. If no one else files for candidacy, the Petersburg Borough Assembly will call for letters of interest after the election, and choose someone to appoint to the position. That person will serve out a one year term, until the next municipal election.

The borough accepts paperwork for write-in candidacy until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 27. The municipal election is on October 1. Any write-in names not officially filed with the borough will not be counted.
