Petersburg’s Library Board has two open seats in next month’s municipal election. Three people are running for the three-year terms.

The board helps the library communicate with the public and plan for the future. It also acts as a sounding board for policy changes with Borough Librarian Tara Alcock.

KFSK’s Hannah Flor sat down with Julie Spigelmyre to talk about why she’s running for the position. She says she loves libraries and believes they’re an essential part of any community.
