The Petersburg Indian Association’s tribal council voted during their monthly meeting on October 16 to hire Jayln Pomrenke as tribal administrator. She started the job the next day. She’s the third tribal administrator hired in as many years. Everett Bennett stepped down from the position this summer, citing health reasons.
Pomrenke has a history of working with the tribe. She’s been the housing director at the Petersburg Indian Association, or PIA, for more than two years. She told KFSK’s Hannah Flor that the job prepared her for the role of Tribal Administrator.
