Petersburg’s community radio station has a new reporter, but she’s not new to Petersburg. Olivia Rose has reported for the town’s newspaper, the Petersburg Pilot, for nearly a year and a half, covering everything from community theater to municipal wastewater.
She sat down with KFSK’s Hannah Flor to talk about what she loves about community journalism and why she’s making the switch to radio. She said that after graduating from college, she really wanted to report in a small town.

Rose started work at KFSK on December 2. You’ll hear her voice on air more and more in the coming weeks, and you’ll be reading stories by both Rose and Flor in the Petersburg Pilot. KFSK will be sharing stories with the paper until a new reporter is hired.
