Two Viking wrestlers are on their way to the state competition in Anchorage this weekend after the regional tournament in Juneau last weekend. Petersburg senior Kaden Duke took 3rd in his weight class, and senior Angus Olsen took 2nd in his.
KFSK’s Hannah Flor sat down with coach James Valentine to talk about the season. Valentine says it’s been an interesting one – he has two star seniors, and then a whole bunch of young, fairly inexperienced wrestlers. That means the seniors either practiced against freshmen, or against each other, despite a 50-pound weight difference.
